Outside Plant (OSP) Technicians at CHR work in the field gathering design details, recording the details in a format that allow for the engineering design of telecommunication fiber optic networks. This work is outdoors gathering detail measurements using electronic and manual measuring devices, provided by the company, that record accurate geospatial distances and relationships of utility, structural, and environmental features. Team members are paired with experienced staff and assist in the field data operations. Typical work days are 8-10 hours 5-6 days per week. These team members live on location, usually in a motel/hotel, and CHR compensates the staff for all living expenses via per diem or reimbursement. CHR has on going field operations in Montana, Oklahoma, Maine, Iowa, Texas, Virginia, Alabama, and Georgia.
