Standard Operating Procedure

Assistant Safety Manager



Daily Tasks-

·        Review Safety site inspection reports

·        Review Site Safety Photos

·        Provide safety support to crews, PM’s, PE’s and Supers.

·        Evaluate at risk employees with job site team

·        Follow up / follow through on incidents or near miss as necessary


Weekly Tasks-

·        Review Pre-Task plans for accuracy and knowledge of safety measures needed to perform tasks

·        Review Equipment inspection forms to ensure operators are properly inspecting equipment

·        Review weekly Tailgate meetings

·        Update Employee Training Logs

·        Conduct Employee Trainings as requested by Safety management

·        Review new hire employee evaluation forms

·        Create and distribute any safety incidents or near miss memo to all employees


Monthly Tasks-

·        Create Anvil Monthly newsletter

·        Conduct Safety crew meeting

·        Review safety incentive eligibility for all employees

·        Update safety logs in Avetta, Golden Shovel or ISNetworld

·        Attend industry conferences or training

·        Review safety protocols and evaluate what adjustments or changes need to be made to safety program or trainings



Bi-Yearly Tasks-

·        Conduct Safety awareness day (equipment yard)

·        Update corporate training certifications
