Human Resources Coordinator

Department: Human Resources

Reports to: Director of Human Resources

Summary: The Human Resource Coordinator will assist the Human Resources Director in running the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including, but not limited to, interviewing candidates, hiring, and onboarding employees, maintaining employee records, ensuring HR department is up to date with compliance record keeping.

 

Responsibilities: The following additional responsibilities are unique to the Human Resource Coordinator:

 

·       Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.

·       Assist in ensuring HR department is prepared for annual auditing.

·       Ensures HR is in compliance with county requirements. Responsible for tracking and maintaining CPR / BBP training requirements.

·       Leads the administration of the recruiting program, responsible for job posting, recruitment, interviews, facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.

·       Promote Morningside’s brand and reputation to attract and retain the best talent.

·       Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications, including monthly debarment checks.

·       Responsible for new / re-hire onboarding. Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants and employees during onboarding.

·       Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

·       May assist in departmental needs to increase employee engagement.    Performs other duties as assigned.

·       Meet or exceed the performance standards, goals, and objectives of the department set forth in the current annual business plan.

·       Accurately, completely, and in a timely manner, create, maintain, and manage the

organization’s records in accordance with applicable laws and/or best practices.

·       Ensure positive, timely, and effective communication between all stakeholders including clients, parents, guardians, residential providers, staff, employers, and referral agencies.

·       Interact with staff, clients, families, and other community members

 

Skills, Education, and Experience: The following additional required skills, education, and  experience are unique to the Human Resource Coordinator:

 

·       Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

·       At least one year of human resource experience preferred.

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·       Organizational skills and attention to detail.

·       Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

·       Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

·       Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS (Paylocity) and talent management systems.
