WorkEx Partner
Last Updated: October 27, 2020

The WorkEx program acts as the approving authority for a customized, individual internship and is an approved Career Skills (CSP)/DoD SkillBridge Program based at JBLM in WA, serving active-duty soldiers nationwide. The WorkEx program allows eligible active duty transitioning service members to participate in a 6-17 week (up to 180 days with chain of command approval) hands-on work-based learning opportunity with a host employer (local or remote) to bridge the gap in skills and experience needed to land a full-time career opportunity within the civilian workforce.

Benefits of WorkEx

  • You develop the internship, customizing it to your career interests and the type of company you want to experience
  • Internships can vary greatly. You can stay within your field of expertise or participate in an internship in a brand-new field
  • Your transition out of the military is accelerated as you get to learn new skills and a new company culture
  • You are guaranteed at least an informational interview with your host company
  • Our Program Navigator ensures your eligibility and vets the opportunity and the company, providing a Letter of Acceptance or LOA to present to Command for approval
