Based on the Key Peninsula and expanding into Gig Harbor, Tacoma, Bremerton, Port Orchard, Belfair, and beyond, we are licensed, bonded, and insured to deliver reliable and safe electrical solutions for both residential and commercial projects.

We offer a wide range of electrical services tailored to meet the unique needs of homeowners, businesses, and builders. Our specialties include:

Residential Services: New home construction wiring, remodels, electrical troubleshooting, panel upgrades, dedicated circuits, generator installation & maintenance, whole-house surge protection, and lighting upgrades.

Commercial Services: Tenant improvements, service upgrades, subpanels, lighting retrofits, equipment hookups, and facility maintenance.

Specialty Projects: EV charging stations, hot tub and spa wiring, permanent outdoor lighting, and standby generator systems.

We also provide preventative maintenance programs such as our Annual Residential Generator Maintenance Membership, ensuring our customers enjoy uninterrupted comfort and safety year-round.

Take Charge Electric is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Sales & Estimating Trainee to join our team. This entry-level position is designed for individuals interested in building a career in electrical sales, estimating, and project management. The trainee will work closely with senior estimators and sales staff to learn how to prepare accurate bids, build customer relationships, and support the growth of our residential and commercial electrical projects.

This role is perfect for someone with strong communication skills, a willingness to learn, and an interest in the construction or electrical industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior estimators in preparing job estimates, including gathering material and labor costs.
  • Review project plans, specifications, and site details under supervision.
  • Input data into estimating software and generate preliminary take-offs.
  • Support sales staff by preparing proposals, quotes, and customer follow-ups.
  • Attend job site visits with senior team members to learn scope development and customer interactions.
  • Communicate with vendors and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing and availability.
  • Learn to build and maintain strong customer relationships through professional communication.
  • Provide general administrative support for the estimating and sales team.
  • Participate in training to develop technical knowledge of electrical systems and industry practices.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s in construction management, business, or related field is a plus).
  • Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Willingness to learn estimating software (training provided).
  • Interest in the electrical or construction industry.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • Ability to occasionally visit job sites (must be comfortable with construction environments).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist journeyman and apprentice electricians with residential wiring, installations, repairs, and troubleshooting.
  • Dig trenches and prepare underground pathways for electrical conduit and service lines.
  • Enter crawlspaces, attics, and other tight or confined areas to run wiring, pull cable, or assist with installations.
  • Pull wire, set boxes, and help with device installation under supervision.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas, both on job sites and in company vehicles.
  • Load and unload tools, equipment, and materials for daily use.
  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA standards.
  • Participate in on-the-job training to develop technical knowledge and trade skills.
  • Perform additional labor and support tasks as directed by supervisors.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, digging trenches, entering crawlspaces/attics, and working in various weather conditions.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and eagerness to learn.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well as part of a team.
  • No previous electrical experience required—training provided.

Take Charge Electric is seeking a reliable and motivated Electrical Shop Support team member to assist with the daily operations of our shop and warehouse. This entry-level position plays a vital role in keeping our field crews supplied, organized, and efficient. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and eager to learn about the electrical construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of the shop, warehouse, and yard areas.
  • Receive, inventory, and stock electrical materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Pull and stage materials for upcoming jobs based on work orders.
  • Assist with loading and unloading company vehicles.
  • Deliver materials, tools, and small equipment to job sites as needed.
  • Perform basic maintenance and inspections on tools and equipment.
  • Track and return unused or excess materials from job sites.
  • Support electricians and apprentices with shop-related tasks.
  • Follow company safety policies and maintain a safe work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the day.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction.
  • Previous warehouse, construction, or electrical experience is a plus but not required.
