The 404th Army Field Support Brigade (AFSB) is a critical logistics and sustainment command within the U.S. Army Sustainment Command (ASC), headquartered at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington. As part of Army Materiel Command (AMC), the brigade delivers agile, responsive, and integrated support to enable operational readiness across the Indo-Pacific theater.
With a footprint spanning multiple installations and forward-deployed locations, the 404th AFSB synchronizes field-level maintenance, supply chain management, property accountability, and deployment support through its Army Field Support Battalions (AFSBns), Logistics Readiness Centers (LRCs), and Prepositioned Stocks (APS) programs.
The brigade plays a pivotal role in bridging tactical units with strategic sustainment capabilities, ensuring combat power is projected, sustained, and regenerated across joint and coalition operations. Its workforce includes military professionals, Department of the Army civilians, and contracted experts who collaborate to deliver mission-critical logistics solutions.
Through its Work Experience (WorkEx) and Career Skills Program (CSP) internships, the 404th AFSB empowers transitioning service members to gain hands-on experience in logistics, safety, human resources, analytics, and program management—building a bridge to high-impact civilian careers while reinforcing the Army’s legacy of excellence.
