About Us
WorkEx Military is an approved DoW SkillBridge Program and Army Career Skills Program (CSP) based out of Joint Base Lewis-MChord in Washington State and is a nationwide program. WorkEx facilitates customized internships for transitioning service members seeking to leverage their last 60-180 days on active duty to gain hands on civilian experience with businesses nationwide. WorkEx builds a bridge between a service member’s military skills, their desired civilian career, and industry needs.
WorkEx Military employs a team of dedicated professionals with years of experience in military transition and business development. Each day our team members leverage their background, expertise, and passion for the military community to ensure each service member enrolled in WorkEx Military has a smooth and successful transition.
For service members, participation in WorkEx is an opportunity to fast-track transition into the civilian workforce. An internship through WorkEx is an opportunity gain hands on civilian work experience, leveraging existing technical skills and formal education/training while still on active duty. WorkEx Military helps jump start your civilian career by allowing you to prove your technical expertise and evaluate fit within a business prior to applying and interviewing for a civilian position. Funding
WorkEx Military is a partnership between Pacific Mountain Workforce Development Council and the Thurston County Chamber Foundation. Funds are provided through private grant dollars and business sponsorships.
